About Alex

Until his untimely passing in January 2025 and through his own London and LA-based companies AMF Media Consulting Ltd and AMF Productions, Alex worked with a number of film and TV companies in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia across strategy, production, development and distribution.

Alex started his television career in live local news and BBC national current affairs production moving into major live music events and the world of international distribution – quickly rising to Head of Sales and Acquisitions at leading specialists Eagle Rock Entertainment.  Next, as VP Entertainment, he helped to lead IMG’s first major push into scripted and non-scripted Entertainment.

At Sky as VP Acquisitions, he was instrumental in driving the rapid growth of Sky’s new commercial arm Sky Vision (now Sky Studios), working across Sky’s new Original Programming strands and with a host of producers globally. Most recently he was key to the expansion of Munich-based ProSiebenSat.1’s production and distribution group Red Arrow Studios as Executive Vice-President, Acquisitions and Content Investment.

Serving as Executive Producer, Series Producer or Co-Production Executive for these companies, and separately via his own consultancy, Alex has worked on the financing, development, production and global sales of a huge range of scripted and non-scripted TV series for over 20 years with film and TV producers and networks worldwide. A love of films and television, an eye for quality and a competitive spirit have combined to grow production and distribution businesses across a broad range of genres: drama, comedy, entertainment formats, documentaries and features.
